Spanish B (8th Grade Yearlong & Require to take if you took Spanish A)
Spanish B is the second year of a 2-year course. It is only offered to 8th grade students. All students who took Spanish A are required to take this course. This course reinforces the skills learned in Spanish A while also expanding on students’ vocabulary and grammar. In this class, students will learn vocabulary about family, items in the household, shopping, traveling, etc. They will also be further exposed to conjugating verbs in the past tense as well as the present tense. As students learn, they will continue to build upon their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in order to be prepared for high school Spanish. In addition, if students pass the high school final, they can take Spanish 2 as freshmen in high school.
Fun times in Spanish!
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration of life and death. Mrs. Valverde spiced up her Spanish lesson by introducing her students to the symbols, crafts and traditions of the celebration during their class zoom sessions. Feliz Día de Muertos!
