ELECTIVE CLASSES
We do our best to place students in their preferred elective, but sometimes we are unable to give students their most preferred elective. Zero period begins at 7:15 am. Priority is given to dual language students and impacted schedules. Consistent attendance to Zero Period is required.

Cougar Crawl Registration will take place in our gym, and students may arrive any time during their designated time slot.
Refer to Cougar Crawl Requirements and Cougar Crawl Information (below) for information on What To Expect and What To Bring with you to registration.

Cougar Crawl Requirements
Registration for the upcoming school year is a 2-step process that every student must complete each year.
STEP 1 Data Confirmation: Parents access their Aeries Parent Portal, confirm the required information, and print and sign the Emergency Card. If you are unable to print the Emergency Card, complete the information required in Aeries, and then you can print at Cougar Crawl. More instructions on completing the Parent Portal can be found below.
STEP 2 Cougar Crawl: Your child must attend an on-campus event called the “Cougar Crawl”. Students must bring their parent signed Emergency Card. More information regarding Cougar Crawl can be found below.
***Important*** ALL 7th graders must have their Tdap vaccination to begin 7th grade. If you've received a missing immunization notification or are unsure this information has been submitted to Stacey or your child's elementary school please contact by email Christina Poe cpoe@wsdk8.us.
Step #1 Cougar Crawl AERIES Data Confirmation
STEP 1: AERIES DATA CONFIRMATION DETAILS
Parents access their AERIES Parent Portal, enter required information, and print and sign the Emergency Card. If you are unable to print the Emergency Card, then complete the information required in Aeries, and then you can print it at Stacey during the Cougar Crawl.
Step #1 Step-By-Step Instructions:
- Sign into your Aeries PARENT Account during the Data Confirmation Window
- In the top menu bar, hover over Student Info to expand the drop-down menu.
- Roll down and click on Data Confirmation.
- You will now begin the Data Confirmation steps:
A) Student Demographics - Read and review each entry in the Student Demographic section. If changes are needed, click change at the bottom and make changes. Be sure to click save when done. Now click Confirm and Continue.
NOTE: If you make a change to your residential address, you will need to bring Proof of Residency to the On-Campus Registration before the change is made in Aeries by the school. Phone numbers will update automatically.
- Submit a copy a of current utility bill, house agreement, tax documents, or car registration with parent/guardian name(s) and address. If you are living at another's residence, have them write a note to the school and provide a copy of their current proof of residence. You may email document photos to Patsy Ashcraft pashcraft@wsdk8.us.
B) Contacts – Read and review each entry in the Contacts section. To change contact information, add a contact, or delete a contact, click the appropriate button. Enter all requested information and click Save at the bottom. When finished with all contact information, click Confirm and Continue.
C) Medical History – Read and review each entry in the Medical History section. Make any updates to existing medical conditions and add any additional information by clicking on the appropriate selections. Be sure to click Save. When finished with all Medical History, click Confirm and Continue.
D) Documents – You must download, read, and review the appropriate documents that pertain to your student. Some of these documents may need to be submitted by paper at your in-person registration date and time. You may need to click the box next to each document title to confirm your knowledge of the information contained in each document. When finished with all Documents, click Confirm and Continue
E) Authorizations – Read and review the descriptions of each Authorization and Prohibition. Click Deny or Allow based on your preferences. Click Save. When finished with all Authorizations, click Confirm and Continue.
F) Final Data Confirmation - Click on the Submit Final Confirmation button to finish this confirmation.
G) After you click the Submit Final Confirmation button, please now click on the button, Print New Emergency Card.
H) Print, sign, and date this new Emergency Card. You must bring the Emergency Card with you to the Cougar Crawl. If you are unable to print the Emergency Card, then you can print it when you first arrive at the Cougar Crawl.
Step #2 Cougar Crawl Information
Prior to Cougar Crawl:
Prior to attending Cougar Crawl, parents must complete Aeries Data Confirmation for your Stacey student(s) even if they are a returning student. You need to print and sign the student Emergency Card. Your child should bring that with them to Cougar Crawl. Students will not be able to participate at Cougar Crawl until this is completed. If you are unable to print the Emergency Card, then still complete the entire Data Confirmation process online, and when you arrive, we will print it for you.
What to Bring to Cougar Crawl
The items below WILL NOT be available before or after Cougar Crawl.
On or after the first day of school your child will need to visit the library for textbooks/Chromebook, buy PE clothes from their PE Teacher, take their picture on make-up picture day (TBD), buy Yearbook online and/or pick up a planner from the Student Window.
Refer to your AERIES Parent Portal for you child's class schedule.

- PE Clothes: Shirt: $15 Shorts: $15 $10 PE Lock (Cash or Checks payable to Stacey ASB)
- Cash or Checks for PTSA membership $11.00 (payable to Stacey PTSA) and/or $40.00 Yearbook (payable to Stacey ASB)
- Proof of Required Immunizations if you haven’t done so already. Contact Christina Poe, our District Nurse if you have questions: cpoe@wsdk8.us
- Proof of residency only if you submitted an address change through Data Confirmation. Submit a copy a of current utility bill, house agreement, tax documents, or car registration with parent/guardian name(s) and address. Cougar Crawl Process:
- Turn in signed Emergency Card
- Receive class schedule
- Yearbook $40.00 cash or check (payable to Stacey ASB) until October 31st. Goes up to $45.00 until March 31st, which is also the last day to pre-order a Yearbook. $50.00 on day of Yearbook distribution in June.
- PTSA Membership $11.00 cash or check (payable to Stacey PTSA)
- School photos will be taken by Sumner Photography. After Cougar Crawl, families will be provided order codes to view/order portraits/packages on Sumner's website.
- PE Clothes: Shirt: $15 Shorts: $15 Cash or Check $10 PE Lock (payable to Stacey ASB) There will also be an "order form" for sweatpants and sweatshirts available.
- Receive required school planner and additional informational fliers
- Make your way to the school library located behind the school front office to check out a Chromebook and textbooks.
- Returning students have a Chromebook and charger. If it is broken or damaged, then please bring it to Cougar Crawl to get it fixed or exchanged. Please contact Ed Rangel if you have a broken or damaged Chromebook: erangel@wsdk8.us
- If you need to purchase Chromebook Insurance, Securranty is the District's new vendor. Purchases are made only Online or by Check sent directly to Securranty. Insurance becomes active on August 26th.
- Exit the library and head out the exit gate by the front office. If you dropped off your student, pick them up in front of the office.

During Spring Break 2027, our students will travel to the historic East Coast, exploring the heart of our nation in Washington, D.C., the energy of New York City, and the rich colonial history of Boston. From walking in the footsteps of our nation’s leaders to experiencing iconic landmarks and vibrant city life, this trip brings history, government, and culture to life in unforgettable ways.
We invite all interested families to learn more at our informational Zoom meeting on Tuesday, 2/24 at 5:30 PM with Mrs. Ortega. We’ll review itinerary highlights, safety information, payment plans, and answer all of your questions.
