E-Bike and E-Scooter Safety Permit Information Dear Stacey Middle School Families, If your student is planning to ride an electric bike or e-scooter to school for the 2026-27 school year, we want to help ensure their commute is both safe and smooth. Before bringing any e-bike or e-scooter onto school grounds, all students (even if they completed the course last year) are required to complete a safety training course and display a current 26-27 registered district permit sticker on their vehicle. Here is a simple, step-by-step guide to help you and your student get ready for the new school year: Step 1: Complete the Safety Training Students must complete the online Pedal Ace Training course, which takes approximately two hours to complete. You can access the course directly through the Westminster School District E-Bike Safety Page. Save 50% On Registration: Use the special promotional code wsd50 at checkout to receive a 50% discount. This code is valid until January 15, 2027. In-Person Option: If your student is unable to complete the course online, the district is happy to help. Simply email ebikepermit@wsdk8.us to arrange an alternate in-person training session. Step 2: Apply for the District Permit Sticker Once your student finishes the training, please email their Certificate of Completion to ebikepermit@wsdk8.us. To make sure your permit is processed quickly, please include the following details in your email: The student's first and last name Their Student ID Number Stacey Middle School A brief description of the vehicle (including the make, model, and color) Your student's personalized permit sticker will be ready for pick-up at the Stacey Middle School front office within three business days. Please make sure the sticker is placed in a highly visible location on the e-bike or scooter before they ride it to campus. Step 3: Keep in Mind for Future Years District permits are valid for the current school year only. To keep up with changing safety guidelines, students will need to complete the renewal process at the beginning of each school year. If your student decides to start riding an e-bike or scooter later in the middle of the school year, you can contact ebikepermit@wsdk8.us at any time to get them started. E-bike/Scooter Permits and Safety

Dear Stacey Middle School Families,

Yesterday, we held our Expectations Assemblies, where students reviewed our schoolwide expectations, including e-bike safety and riding expectations. Please review these expectations with your student: helmets must be worn at all times, only one rider is permitted per bike, bikes may not be ridden at the park at all, and bikes must be walked while on campus. Students must have an updated 2026–2027 e-bike permit before riding to school. Beginning Monday, students without a current permit will not be permitted to ride their e-bike to school. Permits could be revoked if students are not following safety rules. We appreciate your partnership in helping our students make safe and responsible choices each day. 

See the below information if your student still needs to complete the updated safety training:
