Student Drop Off Procedures (Updated 10/3/24)
Good afternoon everyone,
We wanted to provide an update, and I'm sure many of you have noticed that our parking lots have undergone a facelift since last week. We have added clear drive-through lane lines and markers for curbside drop-off in the morning. As we continue our journey through the year, we kindly ask that everyone be mindful of others around you. If you are dropping off in the parking lot, please pull as far forward as possible to avoid blocking cars behind you, and exit promptly to keep traffic moving. Also, be mindful that as we get closer to the start of the school day, traffic increases, so please plan accordingly to ensure your student(s) are on time for their Homeroom classes.
Drop-Off Gates (blue numbers):
Students can enter the campus through the following gates:
1. Admin Gate (Gate 1)
2. B-Building Gate (Gate 2)
3. Bike Rack Gate (Gate 3)
4. C-Building Gate (Gate 4)
5. Gymnasium Gate (Gate 5)
Drop-Off Instructions:
- Drive Forward: Please drive as far forward as possible along the curb to allow other vehicles to drop off students efficiently. There are plenty of available entrance gates
- No Stopping in Driving Lanes: Do not stop in the middle of the parking lot or driveway to avoid blocking traffic.
- Keep Items Accessible: Ensure all backpacks and bags are within easy reach inside the vehicle, not in the trunk. If you need to access the trunk, park on Larchwood to avoid obstructing the flow.
- Stay in the Car: Parents must stay inside their vehicles during drop-off to keep the line moving smoothly.
- Curbside Drop-Off Only: The curb (red lines) is designated for drop-offs only. No parking is permitted.
- Parking for Office Visits (green zones): If you are visiting the Clegg or Stacey offices and no parking spots are available, please use parking on Larchwood.
- Speed Limit: Always drive slowly in all parking lots and driveways, maintaining a speed of 5 mph or less.
PLEASE NOTE: Traffic increases and becomes more congested as the start of classes approaches, so please plan accordingly and do your best to arrive early each day to help reduce traffic congestion and ensure our students are on time each day.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our school's drop-off procedures!
Sincerely,
~Stacey MS Administration |
