Stacey Middle School Parents, 

School News:

• Jupiter Grades: Our school uses the Jupiter web-app to help keep you informed about your child’s progress. You can login anytime to check your child’s current grades, homework, missing assignments, test scores, report cards, and to contact teachers.  Each student should be coming home with a personalized login sheet from their Homeroom teacher. https://login.jupitered.com/login/ 

• Volleyball Club & Badminton Club: Drop by E4 to pick up a permission slip to join the volleyball club and/or badminton club.  Volleyball every Friday starting 09/22 & Badminton every Monday starting 09/18

• September is National Attendance Awareness Month: Did you know that if your child misses two days of school per month, that means they miss 10% of the school year.  If they do this Kindergarten through 12th grade they would have missed an entire school year. 

• Parking Lot Reminders: Please pull as far forward in the parking lots and have your child ready to go with a backpack in their lap to exit the vehicle quickly.  Do not have backpacks in the trunk or hatch of the vehicle. Parents please do not get out of the vehicle to say goodbye. If you need to place backpacks in the trunk/hatch or get out to say goodbye, please park on the street so as to not interrupt the flow of traffic in the parking lot.

• 9/9 Stacey Spanish Dual Immersion students will be performing at the Moon Lantern Festival in Westminster at 4:30 p.m.

• 9/12 Fountain Valley Skate Night sponsored by PTSA from 6-8 p.m.

• 9/13 Hawaiian Day: Break out those Hawaiian shirts and dresses. ASB will be sell lays and bracelets at lunch for $1.00 

• 9/13 ALOHA Dance! Stacey is hosting its first dance. Tickets are $5 and are sold at lunch. No tickets will be sold at the door. Food will be sold by PTSA for $1 each item.

Stacey Middle School Parents, 

School News:

• School Messages are moving to Aeries: Our school has been using a school messaging system called School Messenger to send weekly messages.  At the beginning of the year the school messaging system was down and we had to move to a new system called Parent Square. We found that in this move some families were not receiving our weekly messages. In order to receive messages using parent square, families need to update the contacts list in Aeries.  At this time School Messenger is back up and running but we will sunset using the program before the end of the year.  Please take a moment to check your Aeries portal and to update your contact list. CLICK HERE for directions to update contacts. • Roller Hockey: Do you play roller hockey or at least have the skates to do so? We want to create a roller hockey club but must first see if there is interest. Monday after school, there will be  a short meeting to see if there is interest. Room G2B.

• E-Sports: Do you play Super Smash Brothers? Do you play Rocket League? Are you interested in competing against Warner, Johnson, and other middle schools in Orange County? Join our Stacey eSports Team! Our information meeting will be after school next Monday in Mr. G-O’s room H7. See you there.

Upcoming Stacey Events:

• K-pop Club: Do you like listening to K-pop? Are you interested in meeting others who share that interest? If so, then we would like you to join our K-pop club!! Sign-ups are available in room G4A after school! The end date for the sign-ups is Friday, October 6th. 

• Hispanic Heritage Month: We are excited to announce that we have some special guests this Thursday from Westminster High School on Thursday Sept 28th. There is a planned celebration in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month during both lunches There will be prizes and fun!

• Basketball Club: Basketball Club is meeting Tuesday in the gym. You MUST return signed paperwork to Mr. Vu in room B1 in order to attend. 

• eSports: First practice is Monday after school until 3:30pm in H7. We are playing Super Smash Brothers to prepare for our first match against Warner. 

• Photography Club: Are you interested in Photography?  If so, come to a quick 5 minute meeting in B4 on Monday after school.

• Garden Club: Garden is meeting this Friday for returning members only. New members join us on October 6 in D3 at 2:45 PM.

• Stacey Spirit Days: Stacey is encouraging you all to participate in our weekly Stacey Spirit Days. Students and staff are welcome to dress on Wednesday with your Stacey club or sport shirt, Thursday with your AVID shirts, and Friday with your college shirts. We hope to see our campus full of our Stacey spirit on these days!
